Baraa Ben Boubaker has a deep connection to her native Tunisia, its culture, landscapes, and traditions. This intimate bond naturally intertwines with her love for the South of France, where she founded her eponymous label in Nice in 2009.
Between the effortless charm of the French Riviera and the authenticity of Tunisia, her creative universe takes shape through travels, encounters, and memories.
The lingering scents of perfumes and spices drifting through the narrow streets of the souks, the Mediterranean light, the generous volumes of traditional Tunisian women’s clothing, the simplicity of everyday gestures, and the beauty of natural materials all nourish her imagination.
Beyond places and influences, BARAA is above all an expression of a way of life: a love of nature, family, human connections, and sharing. A constant search for balance between staying connected to one’s roots and the desire to explore new horizons.
In Arabic, Baraa means “innocence.” A word that embodies the very essence of the label: purity of lines, honesty of materials, softness of colours, and an elegance that never seeks attention.
